Summer Schools

Karita Research arranges, in cooperation with the Valdoc group, Summer Schools about practices in today's societal decision making, their befits and weaknesses, and how they can be improved. We gather policy advisors, decision-makers, journalists, experts, scientists and  students (upper division undergraduate and graduate).

A Valdoc summer school is a unique interdisciplinary gathering towards the creation of knowledge and procedures for transparent decision-making. We aim for an annual or by-annual meeting forum for people with an active interest in transparency and public participation, at which state-of-the-art lectures, seminars and discussions are presented in an interesting and relaxing environment.


Transparency and Accountability in Risk Governance & Societal Decision-making

The next summer school is funded by the European Commission´s Science and Society research programme. It takes place on June 10-15, 2007.
